A night of songs by one of the UK's most beloved bands, reworked and reinvented...
This Charming Man is the first in a new series of shows by the Coveryard, taking the music of seminal pop artists as the starting point for an evening of musical invention.
The iconic lyrics and music of Morrissey and Marr are the perfect candidate for such an exploration. This Charming Man is a flight of live musical fantasy, touching on acid jazz and ska, doo-wop and house, while preserving all the humour and heartbreak of the original.
With a 10-piece chamber-pop ensemble of composer-performers, plus a guest choir and audience sing-alongs, this is the music of the Smiths as it's never been heard before!
